Hand Knee and Foot is a fairly new card game that is catching on all over the USA. The game is a variation of Canasta and similar to Samba but still not quite the same.
Our group used to play Hand and Foot. We were introduced to Hand Knee and Foot about two years ago and have been playing it ever since. This new game is much more challenging and fun to play. None of us play Hand and Foot any more.
This is an easy game to learn and I hope all of you enjoy it as much as I do.
If you have any questions then please find the Hand Knee and Foot page on Facebook and message me and I will be glad to answer them.
Happy Card Playing

  1. quick question...how many wild cards in a dirty (black) meld? In a meld of 4 cards, can you have two wilds and two other cards or must it be MORE normal cards than wilds?

    1. Two natural cards and one or two wild cards. Never more than two wild cards in a canasta.

    2. There must me more normal cards than wilds. In a meld of 3 cards two wild cards can be used. For example, 3 sixes and 2 wilds added. Always one natural card more than wild cards.

  4. Hi we are just beginning to play H/N/F having played hand/foot for many years. We are confused by the term 'buried' our guess is we can add matching cards to an existing canasta which is not included in the basic book. Secondly we are unsure how to use black threes? can they be collected as ordinary cards, eg 2 in hand pick up the pack. can they be used as a canasta? I assume they have no value as 'blocking' the discards. thank you from Gill in South Africa

    1. Sorry never saw your comment...Black threes are blocking cards only.

  5. We have started playing this version and love it. I have a question... Can you play the game with 6 people ? what are the added changes, i.e. additional decks, etc.

  6. Yes. Two teams of 3 people...need 7 decks to play...rules are the same.
